Treatment Starts Tomorrow

Tomorrow at 8am Nathan begins treatment. Treatment was moved up from Wednesday to tomorrow. See the specific prayer requests below: Please specifically pray that all the medicine will be approved and ready to go tomorrow. Pray that the Lord will direct the doctors in the administration of the medicine. Pray that Nathan's body receives the medicine with minimal side effects. Pray that the treatment would work to kill the myeloma. Lastly, please pray for his kidneys that they would stay strong and able to handle the processing of the dead myeloma without any significant or permanent damage. The picture is of us on my birthday (June 22) this year. We hiked to the top of Moro Rock. Nathan was winded after the first 10 steps and continued to be winded. I took the lead and led us to the top where Nathan was knelt over trying to catch his breath. I gave him a really hard time because for the first time ever, I was in better shape than him. We have looked back on this day and laughed because now we realize he was so winded because his body didn't have enough oxygen to support this aerobic activity. With his hemoglobin being about half of what it should be, his body was SCREAMING for oxygen because he genuinely didn't have enough. Now, I kind of feel bad for giving him such a hard time. ;) Thank you friends for your prayers! We need them and we feel them! This is my reminder for the day... Psalm 46 1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, 3 though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. 4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. 5 God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day. 6 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts. 7 The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. 8 Come and see what the Lord has done, the desolations he has brought on the earth. 9 He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth. He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the shields[d] with fire. 10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” 11 The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.
